About the Sussex Dental Group

Sussex Dental Group was established in West Hove as a single surgery practice (originally known as Portslade Dental Centre) in October 2002 by Dr E. Lazanakis.
Since then two additional practices have joined the group in Portslade Village and Crawley. Sussex Dental Group has 15 surgeries and more than 50 staff across the 3 practices and serves over 20000 patients in Brighton, Hove, Crawley, Horsham, Gatwick, Portslade and the surrounding areas.
Our ethos is to provide the very best in patient care in an environment that is warm, relaxing and inviting. Our team are on hand to advise you every step of the way throughout your dental journey offering consistent high quality dental treatment at affordable prices.

Mark joined SDG in March 2007 and he qualified in Sheffield in 1989 (BDS). He worked in Manchester for 2 years, then Rochdale, Lancashire for 6 more years before moving to Brighton in 1998.

Faizal has a special interest in Oral Surgery with extensive experience in performing complex dental extractions. In addition he is places Implants to help restore missing teeth.

Fahad is a visiting oral surgery and implant dentist in several dental practices and also works as a hospital surgeon where he undertakes more complex surgical cases under intravenous sedation and general anaesthetic.

Nicola joined as Group Operations Manager in January 2017 bringing with her 17 years of HR, Office and Operations Management. She has responsibility for all 3 practices but is mainly based in the West Hove Practice.

Sue joined Broadfield Dental Centre when it first opened in September 2004 and has loved watching it grow from strength to strength, becoming one of the biggest NHS practices in Crawley.
