Mark joined SDG in March 2007 and he qualified in Sheffield in 1989 (BDS). 

He worked in Manchester for 2 years, then Rochdale, Lancashire for 6 more years before moving to Brighton in 1998.

Mark particularly enjoys the challenge of treating nervous patients, with a calm and relaxed approach to dental treatment and eschewing the use of chemical sedation or general anaesthesia.  He also enjoys treating children in the same way.

He has a keen interest in endodontics, seeking the gentlest and most effective way of providing this most feared of dental treatments and will soon be undertaking training to provide dental implants for those patients wishing to replace lost and un-restorable teeth.

In his personal life, Mark has a wonderful family, a wife and  two teenage children who keep him very busy, as well as a young  dog who is like a new baby. He enjoys cycling, both road and mountain biking and has entered several sportives and mountain bike challenges over the last couple of years. Mark enjoys live music, particularly the new music scene and he attends at least one festival a year, more if time allows, and also as many live gigs as he can.
